Plant Dahlias from March until the end of June at a depth of 15cm deep and 30cm apart avoiding frost. Cuttings can be taken from tubers planted in warm conditions from January onwards. Flowering time - all Summer long.

For early flowering tubers may be started of in boxes from April 1st. Use slightly moist light soil mixed with peat. Keep boxes cool and free of frost and plant sprouted tubers when danger of late frost has past. Water plants well during growth. Lift tubers after the first night frosts have killed the leaves and keep the tubers frost-proof in boxes covered in dry peat.
