APPLICATION . Ideal for rock-gardens, borders and in tubs on terrace or balcony.
POSITION . Sunny, however flowers will last longer in partial shade. Preferably a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years.
SOIL REQUIREMENT . Tolerant of a wide range of soils provided drainage is satisfactory.
CULTIVATION . Remove flowers when they begin to fade. These botanical tulips may be left in the soil in warm, sunny and sheltered positions. However lifting them after the foliage turns yellow and storage during the summer at 18 degrees centigrade makes flowering more reliable. This temperature is about the equivalent of soil temperature in countries of origin.
