APPLICATION . In flower beds, borders and wild gardens.
POSITION . Sun or partial shade, protected from strong winds. They dislike dry, hot situations e.g. along a south facing wall.
SOIL REQUIREMENT . Well drained moisture retentive soil with high humus content.
CULTIVATION . A covering with peat is recommended to retain moisture in the soil. Remove faded flowers and do not cut back stems before autumn. Bulbs should not be lifted but left in the soil to bloom annually for many years.
