APPLICATION . Edge of border and rock garden.
POSITION . Full sun.
SOIL REQUIREMENT . Well-drained, fertile and chalky .When in doubt add some hydrated lime. Poor soil must be enriched with leaf-mould, compost or other organic matter.
CULTIVATION . Remove faded flowers and apply a topdressing of fertilizer in spring and again 4 - 5 weeks after flowering. Use a phosphate of lime based fertilizer with low nitrogen content. When clumps become too crowded lift roots about 2 weeks after flowering, divide them and replant at once.
