All the Bird houses, boxes and dovecotes are handmade the traditional way in Devon. The houses feature a plywood shell underneath the wheat reed, and wood harvested from local managed woodlands. The wheat reed is specially grown in north Devon and the material and styles are similar to thatched cottages found in the region.

All nesting boxes feature a door to allow access for cleaning when the birds have finished nesting.
