Echinodorus 'Aquartica' - Family … Alismataceae from: £4.50 · Scroll down to shop Echinodorus 'Aquartica' Is unique due to its low and compact stature making it suitable and attractive as foreground plant. It is a slow-growing plant and even after several months, the size is still around 10-15 cm. In contrast to many other Echinodorus plants, the oval and freshly green aerial leaves survive when the plant is submerged in the aquarium. The leaves, in particular, distinguish Echinodorus ‘Aquartica’ from other Echinodorus foreground plants. Characteristic of Echinodorus 'Aquartica' are its round, bright green leaves. Its compact, low habit makes it suitable as a decorative solitary plant. Slow growing and easy to care for, Echinodorus 'Aquartica' retains the refreshing green colour of its leaves in normal lighting and nutrient conditions in the aquarium. The plant is a cross between several different cultivated plants, including E. horemanii and several round-leafed Echinodorus species. Echinodorus 'Aquartica' was developed by Kristian Iversen from the ''Aquartica'' company.
